Heather Anne is an interdisciplinary artist and creative collaborator exploring work that weaves imagination and impact through a loving surrender to growth and change.
For more than two decades, she has worked across arts organizations, public schools, and community spaces in Durham, North Carolina. Her job titles and email addresses have changed more than a few times, but the center of her work has remained the same: creative inquiry.
Heather Anne is drawn to creating spaces, opportunities, and work where ideas stretch out, relationships deepen, stories are the love language and snail trails are left for present and future travelers. Her work responds to lived experiences of survival, resilience, and reclaimed agency.
Heather believes creative inquiry opens doors we didn’t know were there, revealing themselves slowly through care, attention, and a series of happy accidents.
Her work is rarely tidy or timely, but she knows that much of her truth lives in the surrender, in the mess, and in the humility of piecing things back together anytime they fall apart.
