From $75

Bring a pair of Jeans/Pants that don’t quite fit right and we will add fabric, hem and explore different methods of upcycling clothing in this Intro to Sewing on the Machine workshop. We will cover the basics of the sewing machine and practice sewing with a straight stitch.
Bring your own fabric and matching thread if you have a specific design in mind. Vintage quilt panels available for purchase at the workshop (email me if you wanna match!)

(with a 30 min Lunch break- bring your own lunch/snack)

Bring your own Sewing Machine or Rent a Machine (2 classroom machines are available to rent for $10). Please only bring working sewing machines to the class*. Bring your own supplies for your pants. Matching thread, buttons, zippers, fabric, elastic, etc. This workshop depends on you bringing the supplies you need to make a garment you will like to wear with comfort.

Supplies Provided: Scrap Fabric Bin of printed quilt weight cottons.
Tools to share-provided include: Fabric Scissors, pins, thread.

Hosted at Observable Universe in Ample Storage in North Durham (Just beyond the intersection of E. Club and N. Roxboro). The Swamp Witch Pop-up Shop is open for shopping during workshop hours.

Cancellation Policy: Attendees must sign up by the day before the lesson. 2 people must be signed up by the day before, if only one person is signed up- workshop is subject to cancellation (signup with a friend!). Instructor reserves the right to cancel or postpone workshops for personal reasons. Students will be notified via email of any cancellations. If the workshop is canceled, students will receive a full refund in 4-5 business days.
