Introduction to sewing with knits- Sew a pair of underwear!
All supplies provided.
Bring your own machine or rent one of mine (only 2 available +$5).

3 sessions on Wednesdays in May will be dedicated to sewing underwear.
You can come to all three and build on your skills and work on personalizing your pair of underwear each additional session.

$40/person (bring your own machine with ZigZag stitch option and appropriate presser foot, ballpoint knit needle provided)

$45/person with Sewing Machine rental

All Supplies provided: Cotton knit fabric (1-2 color options), thread, Pattern for basic high waisted underwear, Foldover elastic, Ball Point Needles

Suggestions on advancing your skills/design elements for each session if you come to more than one:
1: Make 1 pair of underwear using the foldover elastic binding method.
2: Make 1 pair with color blocking panels; modify your pattern, etc.
3: Advance to biker shorts, tank top or bralette to build on your skills of sewing with knits (you must bring your own fabric and pattern for these additional 3rd session projects- I can direct you to what you need when you attend the other 2 workshops)

*Attendees must sign up by the day before the lesson. 2 people must be signed up by the day before, if only one person is signed up- workshop is subject to cancellation (signup with a friend!). Students will be notified via email of any cancellations.

Mask policy- Masks are suggested but not required. Please do not come to workshops if you have been exposed to illness or are feeling sick (workshops credits can be put toward future sessions).
